On May 11, we had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Halley and Christopher! It was a vibrant and colorful celebration held at the stunning 42 West Entertainment venue in Atlanta, Georgia. From the early morning preparations to the late-night send-off, every moment of their special day was filled with love, laughter, and bright colors that perfectly reflected the couple's unique personalities.
Our day began at the beautiful Bellyard Hotel, an amazing space that provided the perfect backdrop for getting ready moments. The hotel’s well-lit rooms allowed us to capture every detail item (which looked SO good together - Halley worked so hard on them!) and getting ready moment. Seeing Halley's dress and veil for the first time was a breathtaking. The dress was a ballgown with shades of pink, blue, and orange - just as vibrant as Halley herself!
Their ceremony was a beautiful blend of heartfelt moments and lighthearted humor, with the officiant keeping everyone laughing while the couple's vows brought tears to many eyes. Halley's vows, in particular. Even I was getting emotional when she mentioned how Christopher changed her favorite color from red to yellow—a testament to the beauty of their love story.
The reception made the night one to remember, thanks in large part to the incredible live band, Atlanta Party Fanatic. They kept the energy high and the dance floor packed, ensuring that the celebration continued late into the night.
As a former film industry professional, Halley brought a unique perspective to her wedding, understanding our lingo and appreciating our creative approach. We were able to experiment and capture dynamic, movement-filled shots that we are incredibly excited to edit into their Feature Film.
One of the most memorable moments of the day came after the send-off when Halley turned to me and said, "You're a f**king pro." Coming from someone who knows the industry inside out, this was one of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received. It was a genuine acknowledgment of the hard work and creativity we pour into each wedding we capture!
